The price of renting a car is influenced by several factors and can differ significantly. These elements encompass the rental duration, chosen car category, rental spot, optional insurance or protection plans, extra chosen items, any reservation adjustments or extensions, and alterations to the drop-off location.

In some states, you can rent a car at the age of 18; however, the legal age to rent a car in most states is 25 years old. You may rent a car at some locations between the ages of 21-24 for an additional young renter surcharge. Check the policies at the car rental location you’re interested in renting from for that state’s renter requirements. 

There is a daily fee for extra drivers. However, if the driver is the renter’s spouse or domestic partner and meets the same age and license requirements, they can drive at no extra cost. All extra authorized drivers need to be present during rental and meet the age and license requirements. A charge of $10.00 per day is applicable for each additional authorized driver, unless specific contract terms differ.

drop fee pertains to a charge incurred when collecting a rental car from one place and returning it to another. The specific drop fee amount varies based on location and the season. If this fee applies, it will be clearly stated during the reservation process.
